My spicy whipped feta recipe, called Tirokafteri or Typokayteph in Greece, is a tangy and delicious hot cheese dip made with Greek yogurt, roasted red bell peppers, fresh chilies, and garlic. It comes together in under 5 minutes and is great served with baked pita wedges or raw baby bell peppers!

We enjoyed this delicious appetizer while staying in our villa in Corfu, and it was so addicting that we had to duplicate the Spicy Whipped Feta recipe at home!

For this recipe, we’re using a small 3 1/2-cup Kitchen Aid food processor. I like to add the wet ingredients first, such as the Greek yogurt and red wine vinegar, which helps the motor blend more easily.
This recipe is very forgiving, so feel free to add more or less of each ingredient.

Spicy Whipped Feta Dip (Tirokafteri) Ingredients
- 2 cups crumbled feta cheese
- 1 fire-roasted red bell pepper
- 1 whole Serrano chili stem removed
- 1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1-2 cloves garlic

I like to use the Trader Joe’s brand fire-roasted red peppers for convenience, but you can certainly roast your own peppers.
How to Make the Spicy Whipped Feta Dip (Tirokafteri)
To make the spicy whipped feta dip recipe, mix the ingredients together in the food processor to your desired level of chunkiness. Serve with fresh baked pita chips!
