Heading to Maui, Hawaii this year? The first thing you should do after landing is head to your local island Costco. They have an incredible amount of local products that you shouldn’t miss, including fresh leis at a great price! Here’s my Maui Costco Shopping List!
Among our favorite Maui Costco finds are the fruits! Grab yourself some fresh papaya and pineapple! Next, grab some of that fresh poke! It goes fast. In fact, during our last visit, they had sold out of all four varieties of their poke.
We also like to stock up on lots of bottled water, which is great for bringing to the pool, the beach and having at your bedside. Maui Costco also sells a variety of delicious snacks and specialty items that are unique to Hawaii. Following is a guide to some of our favorite Hawaiian-made items at Costco. These are also great for bring back home as souvenirs for your friends and family!
Alcohol is also a lot cheaper to buy here, so even if you are staying in a hotel, I highly recommend stocking up on some Hawaiian beers, local rums and Mai Tai mix, which is going to save you so much money during your vacation. For example, when we were staying at the Wailea Marriott, a mai tai was going for almost $20 a person. By getting your booze at Costco, you can simply fill up your red cup or water bottle with a beverage of choice, and enjoy it down at the pool!
Finally, don’t miss Maui Costco’s freshly-made bakery desserts. They are famous for their Custard Pies and Mango Cheesecakes, and well worth the splurge!
