Roasted garlic is one of my favorite condiments. Not only can you spread it over French bread for garlic bread, but you can add it to mayonnaise for a tasty garlic aioli. It’s also great in hummus and homemade salsa!

How to Roast Garlic

Roasted garlic is one of my favorite condiments. Not only can you spread it over French bread for garlic bread, but you can add it to mayonnaise for a tasty garlic aioli. It's also great in hummus and salsa!
This roasted garlic recipe requires just one head of garlic, some aluminum foil, and a drizzling of olive oil. When roasting garlic, you can put it in the oven for 30-40 minutes, or place it on the top portion of your grill.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head fresh garlic
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Slice the top portion off the head of garlic. Wrap in aluminum foil with a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Bake on a sheet pan in a 400 F oven for 30-40 minutes, or place on the top shelf of your grill (preheated on high). Check after 30 minutes. Let cool.
  • Squeeze garlic out of each clove and enjoy in your favorite recipe.
