During a fall trip to Yosemite National Park, I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Percy Whatley, executive chef at world-famous Ahwahnee Dining Room at the Ahwahnee Hotel. During the interview, Percy explains what it’s like to create a menu and cook for one of the world’s most historic and revered dining rooms.
Whatley is responsible for creating the menu for the Ahwahnee Dining Room’s signature events, including Vintners Holidays and Bracebridge Dinner.
After the interview, he gave me a quick tour of the Ahwahnee’s historic kitchen.
