Jalapeno Vodka Cocktail

This blueberry jalapeño vodka cocktail, scented with crushed blueberries, is a delicious drink year-round! Named the Velvet Joyride, the cocktail was created by Bartender Vince Hardesty, formerly of Rapour Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

This jalapeno and blueberry vodka cocktail is light and slightly sweet with a nice hint of spice from the jalapeños.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 jalapeño
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce honey syrup
  • Splash of soda water
  • Ice

Instructions
 

  • Put 1 jalapeño and a handful of blueberries into a cocktail glass.
  • Muddle them and add 2 ounces of vodka.
  • Add 1/2 ounce of lemon juice and 3/4 ounce of honey syrup.
  • Shake, add a splash of soda water, strain, and serve over ice with a blueberry.
