There’s nothing quite like the taste of corn on the cob, especially when it’s grilled to perfection. This foil-grilled corn recipe is a fantastic way to elevate your barbecue game.
Why Foil-Grilled Corn?
The beauty of foil-grilled corn lies in its convenience. By wrapping the corn in foil, it steams and grills simultaneously, resulting in tender, juicy kernels with a smoky flavor. The best part? The corn stays hot for 20-30 minutes after grilling, making it the perfect side dish for your barbecue feast.
Tips for the Perfect Foil-Grilled Corn:
- Choose the Right Corn: Look for corn with fresh, green husks and plump kernels.
- Don’t Overcook: Overcooking can lead to dry, tough corn.
- Experiment with Flavors: Add other seasonings like chili powder, garlic powder, or herbs to your corn for a unique twist.

Foil Grilled Corn on the Cob
Recipe by Jason Hill – CookingSessions.comIngredients
- 4 cobs of corn husked and washed
- 1 stick of butter
- Salt
- Fresh cracked pepper
- 4 sheets of foil
Instructions
- Remove the husks and wash under cool running water.
- Rub butter on each corn cob.
- Next, grab 4 sheets of foil and place each cob on the foil. Season with a little salt and fresh cracked pepper.
- Roll corn up in each sheet of foil and put a little twist on the ends.
- As always, I have my grill preheated on high. Place corn on the grill, on the top shelf, and check in about 10 minutes. You want to hear a sizzle when you check them.
- After 10 minutes, I can hear them sizzling, which mean it’s time to turn. Turn them once and cook another 5-10 minutes, covered in the grill.
