Duke’s Guava Daiquiri

Nothing quite says summer like a good camping trip, and nothing caps off an adventurous day like a refreshing cocktail.

Last weekend, we took our RV to the scenic Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, and after enjoying the sun, sand, and surf, we decided to enjoy some fish tacos with a refreshing Guava Daiquiri cocktail from one of our favorite haunts, Duke’s Canoe Club at the Pier.

Duke’s Canoe Club: More Than Just a Hangout

Duke’s has always been a favorite spot for us, known for its laid-back vibe, spectacular ocean views, and an array of delicious tropical cocktails. One of their newest drinks is Duke’s Guava Daiquiri, which has quickly become one of our favorite new drinks.

Duke’s Guava Daiquiri Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Monin Guava Fruit Purée – The sweet and slightly tart flavor of guava sets this daiquiri apart.
  • .5 oz St Germain Elderflower Liquor – Adds a floral note that complements the fruitiness.
  • 1 oz Koloa white rum – A smooth, Hawaiian rum that brings authenticity and a clean taste.
  • 1.5 oz fresh lime juice – For that necessary zesty kick.
  • Sugar syrup, to taste – Sweeten to your preference to balance the tartness of lime.

Preparation:

  1. Mix the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the Monin Guava Fruit Purée, St Germain Elderflower Liquor, Koloa white rum, and fresh lime juice.
  2. Sweeten: Add sugar syrup according to your taste. Start with a small amount and adjust as needed.
  3. Shake it Up: Fill the shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until well chilled.
  4. Serve: Strain the mixture into a chilled Martini glass.

Enjoy: Sip this delightful cocktail while watching the sun dip below the horizon, or under the starlit sky next to the campfire at Bolsa Chica. It’s a little piece of paradise in your glass.
