During a summer trip to San Diego, I discovered a great little taco joint — Tacos El Gordo. This authentic Mexican restaurant started out in Tijuana, and has expanded to National City, San Diego, Temecula and Las Vegas.
In this video review of the Chula Vista location (689 H St), I try their spicy pork adobada tacos and the spicy beef carne asada tacos — two of the best tacos al pastor on the Tacos El Gordo menu.
Vegetarians can order the cheese quesadillas loaded up with guacamole, cilantro, onions and their signature salsa! When you arrive, be sure to get in the right line. There are different stations for different tacos. Don’t forget — it’s cash only!
