Have you ever tried baked or grilled feta cheese? Known as bougiourdi (or bouyourdi), this is a gooey and delicious Greek fondue made with feta cheese, bell peppers, tomato and oregano.We enjoyed it with souvlaki while staying in Corfu, Greece and it was so amazing we had to duplicate the recipe at home.
In an ovenproof dish or tin foil, layer the feta cheese, olive oil, tomato and bell peppers.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar/Jack and oregano on top. Season with salt and pepper.
Cover with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes at 375°F. Alternatively, if using foil, place over indirect heat on a flat top grill and cook about 10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling.
