I love this recipe because it’s so easy to make. The ingredients are easy to find at your local supermarket. In fact, you probably have most of them in your refrigerator or pantry!

Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Squares

Today I'll show you how to make cream cheese puff pastries. These are delicious served cold with your morning coffee — sort of like a cream cheese danish but with two layers of puff pastry. 
Super easy to make, these pastry squares are filled with a cheesecake-like mixture and then topped with cinnamon sugar. What could be better!!!?

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets sheets puff pastry or 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Cinnamon Topping

  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13 inch pan.
  • Mix together the cream cheese, egg, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  • Lay first layer of puff pastry on the casserole dish. Add some mixture on top, getting to the edges. Top with another layer of puff pastry.
  • Pour the melted butter on the top, brushing well with a pastry brush. Sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon topping.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is crisp and golden.
  • Chill 4 hours or overnight so it’s well chilled. Serve.
