How to Roast Garlic
For first-time cooks, learning how to roast garlic can be incredibly useful. Not only can you spread it over French bread for garlic bread, but you can add it to mayonnaise for a tasty garlic aioli. It’s also great in hummus and salsa! Roasted garlic is one of my favorite condiments. Hope you enjoy this quick tutorial!
- 1 head of fresh garlic
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- Slice the top portion off the head of garlic. Wrap in aluminum foil with a drizzle of olive oil.
- Bake on a sheet pan in a 400 F oven for 30-40 minutes, or place on the top shelf of your grill (preheated on high). Check after 30 minutes. Let cool. Squeeze garlic out of each clove and enjoy in your favorite recipe.
